Coach Mattera Wins Bronze Medal at Masters Indoor World Cup

MEDFORD, MA (April 1, 2026) - Tufts University field hockey head coach Tina Mattera won a bronze medal with the United States Over-45 Team which competed at the Masters Indoor World Cup that finished on Tuesday in Nottingham, England.

After posting a record of two wins and two losses in pool play, the U.S. Team faced Ireland in the Third-Place game on Tuesday and won 6-3 for the bronze.

Mattera started in all five matches that the U.S. played. She scored the first goal in the U.S. Team's 4-1 victory over Australia on Monday, which secured the U.S. spot in the Third-Place match.

The U.S. also had a pool play victory against France (6-4) and losses to England and Germany. The final was played between England and Germany, with England winning 5-4.

This is the second time Mattera has won a bronze medal playing for the Over-45 U.S. Women's Masters Indoor Team, including in 2024 at the same site.
