Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

No. 2 Women's Lacrosse Rolls Past No. 20 Williams, 17-9

MEDFORD, MA (April 1, 2026) -- The No. 2 Tufts University women's lacrosse team got a career-high 10 points from first-year Eleanor Helm, while senior Allie Zorn tallied five points as well in a 17-9 win over No. 20 Williams College on a rainy, chilly day from Bello Field Wednesday in conference action.

The 10 points were the most in a game for a Jumbo player since Margie Carden posted 10 against Cortland May 14, 2023. It was the most in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) game for Tufts since Emily Games registered 10 in a win over Williams back on April 5, 2017. Helm's 10-point outburst is just the 15th double-digit point tally in program history, as she finished with five points and five goals while adding eight ground balls.

Helm's eight grounders were also the most since Molly Laliberty finished with 13 against Dartmouth on April 25, 2021, and were the most for a field player since Casey Briody posted eight against Hamilton on April 8, 2017.

Tufts opened the scoring early on a Neta Leschly score, answering a Williams' goal with five straight to take a 6-1 lead after Sophia Claps netted her 16th of the season.

After taking a 6-2 edge into the second frame, Zorn scored with the extra person to make it 7-2 while starting as 4-0 run highlighted by a pair of strikes from Zorn. Junior Schuyler Lloyd netted a person-up goal with just over two minutes left in the first half to give the Jumbos a 10-2 advantage before leading 10-3 at the break.

Williams outscored the Jumbos 4-3 in the third quarter, but four straight goals by Tufts in the fourth quarter including the first of the career from senior defender Nicola Donlan to put the game away.

Helm also posted a caused turnover and scored her five goals on seven shots. Zorn fired a team-high 13 shots while tallying three goals and two assists, and Lloyd had four points on a goal and three helpers.

Sophomore Anna Mollahan had a career-high three points on a goal and three assists, while Leschly and Claps each netted a pair of scores. Donlan picked up three grounders in addition to her milestone score, and Annie Aspesi also had two ground balls. Elsa Schutt posted six draw controls as well, while Grace Hammond and Leschly each posted four.

Devon Chipman posted four saves in the win, while Sophie Powless finished the game and made six saves in the second half.

Tufts outshot Williams 42-24, while adding a 20-16 edge in ground balls and an 18-10 draw control margin. Reece Willison had a team-high three goals for the Ephs, and Charlotte Cote had 15 saves in net.

The Jumbos will head to Connecticut College Saturday at 1 p.m. in New London, CT in NESCAC play.
