MEDFORD, MA (April 11, 2026) -- The No. 3 Tufts University men's rowing team finished its home slate on Saturday afternoon with the second of two Malden Racing Series regattas, as the Jumbos welcomed No. 2 Wesleyan University and No. 7 Bates College to the Malden River while also entertaining Boston College.
The Jumbos raced against Wesleyan in the morning, taking on Bates and BC in the afternoon, as Tufts raced four varsity eights with varsity four as well.
The Tufts 1V8+ took on Wesleyan in the morning and was barely edged out by the Cardinals in an exciting race, as Wesleyan rowed to a time of 6:36.3 followed closely by the Jumbos' time of 6:39.3.
Later in the day, the first varsity would roll past Boston College with a time of 6:38.0 to cruise to an open water win after the Eagles crossed the line in 7:14.1. The first varsity was coxswain

The Tufts 2V8+ that was coxswained by both

Alex Flynn finished with a strong 2-0 day. The boat rolled to a nine-second win over Wesleyan in the morning, recording a time of 6:30.4 followed by a 6:39.0 by Wesleyan.
In the afternoon, the second varsity raced against Bates and posted another solid time of 6:43.3 to win by open water after Bates posted a 7:01.1.
The Tufts 3V8+ also was 2-0 for the day, winning in a thriller over Wesleyan with a narrow 6:41.3-6:44.6 win over the Cardinals. Racing against Bates in the second of their two races, the Jumbos went under seven minutes with a strong 6:55.7 to win by ove 20 seconds after the Bobcats crossed in with a 7:17.2.

Jamie Forman as the coxswain. The afternoon saw
Abe Nelson sub in for Svagdis in the afternoon, while
Lexi Acosta took control of the boat in the second race of the day.
The Tufts 4V8+ raced twice in the morning Saturday, but won both of its races, opening the day's proceedings with a 6:48.8 to edge Wesleyan and it's 6:54.0. The fourth varsity was

Rachel Huynh would step in and coxswain the Jumbos to a second win over Bates, posting a strong time of 7:04.3 to best their competitors by over 24 seconds.
The final Tufts race of the day was the Jumbos 5V8+, as Tufts cruised to a 7:22.2 to win by over 30 seconds after Bates' fifth varsity clocked in with a 7:58.3. The boat was
