MEDFORD, MA (April 11, 2026) -- The Tufts University women's rowing squad competed in its second straight home race Saturday, hosting the Malden Racing Series on the Malden River as it hosted No. 6 Wesleyan University, No. 4 Wellesley and No. 8 Bates College. Tufts took on Wesleyan in the morning action, before battling Wellesley and Bates in the afternoon.
The Jumbos battled No. 6 Wesleyan in the morning, with the 1V8+ earning a victory over the Cardinals with a time of 7:39.8, winning by open water after Wesleyan raced to a time of 7:56.5. In the afternoon, the No. 3 Jumbos knocked off Wellesley by six seconds, posting a time of 7:35.4 to the Blue's 7:41.7.

The 2V8+ split its two races on the day, as it was topped by Wesleyan 7:56.1-8:07.9, but it rebounded in the second race to knock off Wellesley with a big win. The Jumbos crossed the finish line in 7:43.5 against Wellesley, besting the time of 8:13.1 by the Blue in the final race for that boat. The second Tufts eight was cowswain

Tufts 3V8+ also swept its two races Saturday, cruising to a pair of open water wins. In the morning, Tufts took on Wesleyan and posted a time of 8:01.4 to record nearly a 17-second win after the Cardinals posted a time of 8:18.1. In the afternoon, Tufts took on Bates and won with a time of 7:43.5. The third varsity was

The Jumbos also raced a varsity four on Saturday, as it earned the win in the morning race against Wesleyan, cruising to a time of 9:07.2, over 10 seconds faster than Wesleyan's 9:18.2. The V4 though would fall to Bates in the afternoon, as the Bobcats V4+ clocked in with a 9:19.2 to the 9:35.5 from the Jumbos.

The Tuft 4V8+ raced did a pair of time trials on Saturday, posting a time of 8:18.6 in the morning followed by a 8:20.6 in the afternoon. The fourth varsity was coxswain

Zinnia Deora in the nightcap, with the boat consisting of
