CRANSTON, RI (April 18, 2026) – The Tufts University coed sailing team is in eighth place out of 18 teams at the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association Open Fleet Race Championship, which started on Saturday.
Hosted by Brown University, eight races were finished in A and B divisions on Saturday. Tufts compiled scores totaling to 75 in A's and 67 in B's for a 142 total.

Sean Beaver is seventh in their group so far. They had a second-place finish in today's second race, and also had sixth-place finish in the fourth race.

Kate Castleberry is 10th in their division following eight races. They were the second-place team in today's sixth race.
Harvard leads the regatta with a team score of 80, and host Brown is close behind with an 81 score.
Competing for the Coast Guard Alumni Bowl, which goes to the New England Fleet Race champion, the winning team as well as the runner-up will earn automatic berths into the Intercollegiate Sailing Association National Fleet Race Championship next month. The other teams will be eligible for at-large national berths.
Saturday's second day of the Championship has a first warning time of 10:15 AM.
