MEDFORD, MA (April 24, 2026) – The Tufts University baseball team captured a crucial 4-1 victory over Trinity (Conn.) to open a three-game NESCAC series against the Bantams at Sol Gittleman Park in mostly sunny conditions this afternoon.
For the Jumbos (23-8, 7-3 NESCAC),
Cole Donato made his eighth start of the spring on the mound and shut out the Bantams through the first five innings of action with six strikeouts. The senior collected his seventh win of the season to take the outright lead in wins in the NESCAC and finished with seven strikeouts and one earned run allowed in 6.1 innings of work.

Caden Abraham put a base runner on with a single into left field and advanced to second after
Jesse McCullough singled to the opposite side.
James Henshon then launched an RBI double into right center field to score Abraham from second, but McCullough was caught in a pickle between third and home and was tagged out on the play. Henshon had advanced to third on the previous sequence and
Jack Kamin remained hot at the plate with an RBI single to left field to cross Henshon home from third.
The Jumbos doubled their advantage in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the pressure on Trinity. Kamin led off with a double down the left field line and advanced to third after a fly out to center field from
