MEDFORD, MA (April 8, 2026) - Eighteen Tufts University football players were announced today as members of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's (NFF) 2026 Hampshire Honor Society.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the NFF Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.2 (4.0 scale). Nominated by their respective schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must be either a senior player, who will graduate this year and just completed his final year of playing eligibility in 2025; or a graduated player who has been out of high school at least (3) years. The honorees must have been starters or contributors throughout the 2026 season.

This group were among the leaders of head coach
Jay Civetti's Jumbo team last fall. The defensive players contributed to a unit that was third in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), allowing 183.7 passing yards per game. The offensive players were part of the group that was third in the league, averaging 361.3 yards per game.
An elite group of 2,596 players from 365 schools qualified for Hampshire Honor Society membership in 2026, setting a new record for the number of members in a single year during the program's 20-year history.Â
