MEDFORD, MA (May 14, 2026) – Tufts University's
Adham Gaber was announced on Wednesday as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year.
The award honors an assistant coach who has exhibited outstanding leadership in ways that contribute to on and off-court team performance.
Now in his third season with the Jumbos, Gaber's role as an assistant has helped head coach
Karl Gregor's team remain one of the top Division III programs in the country. This year, Tufts won its first New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) title in 37 years, and has reached the NCAA Elite 8 for the fifth straight year. The Jumbos are 24-2 overall and ranked third in the ITA Division III national poll.
"He's provided a tremendous lift for our guys in high performance development," said Gregor, himself an ITA Northeast Assistant Coach of the Year at Tufts in 2013. "He's a great motivator who is also outstanding tactically in matches. We're very fortunate to have him here."
Gaber is Tufts' first Regional Coach of the Year since
Nick White was honored in 2022.
A 2023 graduate of the University of Tulsa, where he was a standout for the tennis squad, Gaber has also coached professionally. He was a part of the coaching team for Danielle Collins – once ninth in the Women's Tennis Association rankings - at the 2025 Australian Open.
He now brings that level of expertise to the Jumbos.
