MEDFORD, MA (August 13, 2026) - Both Tufts University teams and 38 Jumbo student-athletes have been recognized as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently announced its 2026 All-Academic Teams and All-Academic Individuals for the collegiate track & field seasons. The honors recognize student-athletes and programs that excelled both academically and competitively.
The USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams recognition is awarded to those programs whose cumulative team grade point averages (GPA) of all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility is at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester. The Tufts women's team had a cumulative 3.67 mark for the 2025-26 seasons, which was one of the top 40 best in Division III. The Jumbo men's team carried a 3.47 cumulative GPA in 2025-26, which was top 50 in DIII.
All-Academic Individuals must have cumulative GPA's of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale through the most recently completed grading period. They must also have finished the season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order  list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who participated at the NCAA Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible. Honorees could have also competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 35 relay teams, but who participated in the relay at the NCAA Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible. Finally, any competing relay team member on an expanded descending list to include 35 institutions (one relay team per institution) is eligible.
