Biography

2019-2020 (Sophomore):  Ryan started 28 games in her sophomore season for the Jumbos…she earned 2nd team All-NESCAC honors and was named to the NEWBA All-Region 2nd team…also was selected to the D3hoops 4th team All-Northeast region for her stellar play in her sophomore season…Ryan posted an average of 11.1 points per game which ranked third on the team…she made 67 three-pointers on the year which ranked 2nd most in the league and shot 40.1% from beyond the arc which was good for 4th highest in the NESCAC…her 2.59 assist-turnover ratio topped the NESCAC and ranked 4th in all of D-III…Ryan scored in double-figures 20 times on the year and netted a season-high 19 points in a 97-88 regular season win over Bowdoin…the sophomore dished out 3.3 assists per game and was effective in getting her teammates open shots…was a resilient defender totaling 55 steals on the year which ranked 3rd in the league…also was active on the glass and pulled down 4.6 rebounds per game with a season-high of 10 in the NESCAC semifinal win over Williams…the guard also earned a spot on the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.

2018-19 (Freshman): Ryan started all 31 games in her freshman campaign...she helped guide the Jumbos to a 28-3 overall record, a NESCAC Championship, and an appearance in the NCAA "Elite Eight"...made her collegiate debut against Springfield and scored nine points...the freshman was fifth on the team as she averaged 6.9 points per game...she scored in double-digits six times and posted a career-high 16 points in Tufts 110-63 victory over Brandeis...Ryan proved to be a reliable three-point shooter for the Jumbos with 39 made threes, which ranked second on the team...the guard had a crucial 11 points in the Jumbos 47-46 NESCAC Semifinal victory over Amherst...she also moved the ball well and often found open teammates as she dished out 2.5 assists per contest...the freshman often full-court pressed opposing guards and helped the Jumbo defense force an average of 18.4 turnovers per night...she recorded a team-high 55 steals...Ryan was also active on the boards as she grabbed 4.6 rebounds per game, which was the second most on the team...the guard posted 5.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in the NCAA Tournament.

Before Tufts: Was on the basketball and track and field teams at Westfield High School...was a captain of the team her senior year...is her high school's all-time steals leader...winner of the Westfield Basketball Association Award...participated in the North/South Jersey Senior All-Star game...winner of the President's Education Award. 

Personal: Daughter of Jackie and Billy...has two sibings, Annie (16) and Billy (16)...father played basketball at Princeton...cousin, Jac Knapp, played basketball at Tufts.
