2022 (Graduate Year): Appeared in all nine games for the Jumbos . . . Made 30 total tackles on the season, fifth most on the team . . . Made an interception against Middlebury in the final game of the season en route to a 65-34 victory . . . Had three pass breakups, fifth most on the team . . . Made four tackles, had a pass breakup, and forced a fumble on October 8 against Bowdoin in a 31-13 victory . . . Had 1.5 tackles for loss on the season . . . Was an important defensive back for the Jumbos in a solid season for the team.
2021 (Senior): Started at safety for the Jumbos...Earned NESCAC All-Academic Team honors (3.50 GPA+)...Finished fourth on team with 40 tackles (21 solo)...Also had three pass break-ups, an interception, a fumble recovery and a tackle for a loss...Had the fumble recovery and interception against Wesleyan, with the fumble recovering setting up a Tufts touchdown...Made a team-high 11 tackles at Amherst...Recorded seven stops and two pass break-ups versus Bates.
2020 (Junior): Season canceled due to COVID-19.
2019 (Sophomore): Saw action in the secondary and made 14 tackles with two pass break-ups...was in on a season-best six tackles and had a pass break-up at Bates...made four tackles against Amherst and also had PBU at Bowdoin...achieved NESCAC All-Academic honors.
2018 (Freshman):Part of the Jumbos’ 75 man roster that finished the season with a 7-2 record.
Before Tufts: Was on the football team at La Jolla High School...was named the Special Teams Player of the Year and the Defensive Player of the Year...was a captain of the team...was an All-City League selection as a safety...was an SDFNL All-Star...winner of the Gene Edwards Award, a leadership award for La Jolla Athletics...named the football Scholar of the Year...named to the San Diego Union Tribune All-Academic Team...was an AP Scholar with distinction...member of the Cum Laude Society....earned a California Seal of Literacy for Spanish...named a National Football Foundation Scholar Leader Athlete.
Personal: Son of Carlton and Allison...has two siblings, Carlton, Jr. and Elizabeth...brother Carlton, Jr. plays football at Occidental College.
