Prior to Tufts: Played varsity lacrosse, varsity ice hockey, and Men's golf at Colorado Academy. Captain of the Lacrosse and ice hockey team his senior year...He was awarded first-team all-state and an all-american his senior year. 
 
Personal: Son of Matt and JJ Rutherford...Brother to Maya(21)...His mother played d1 women’s lacrosse at Princeton University and was a national champion and all-american...Father was on the men’s crew team at Princeton University and his sister plays lacrosse at the University of Michigan.
