2025 (Sophomore): Made 11 appearances and three starts for the Jumbos...An important long reliever, finished the season with a 3.15 ERA to lead all Tufts pitchers with 20+ innings pitched...Pitched a season high six innings at Colby with only five hits allowed...Struck out 14 batters for the best K/IP ratio of the Tufts bullpen

2024 (Freshman): Appeared in 10 games for the Jumbos this season...Pitched a total of 21.1 innings and recorded 14 strikeouts...Was a member of the Jumbos Baseball team that went 25-16 and made it to the final of the NESCAC Championship.

PRIOR To Tufts: Played baseball and hoops for the Mavericks of St. Johns...two-year letter winner as a junior and senior on the diamond...captain as a senior...named Team MVP in 2023...also earned the Gold Glove Award as a junior...All-Southwest Preparatory Conference as a junior and senior...had a 1.49 ERA and 84 Ks over 64.1 innings of work in high school...earned High Honors as a sophomore, junior and senior...H. Scott Caven III Memorial Scholarship Award Recipient as a senior. 

Personal: Son to Colleen and Bill O'Brien...has one brother, Jack...father played football at Brown University, and is the current head football coach at Boston College...father also was the head coach at Penn State University and the NFL's Houston Texans...political science major...chose Tufts because his "goal was to play competitive college baseball while pursuing a degree at a high-academic institution. Tufts provides me the opportunity to do both while living in close proximity to a world-class city. I value Tufts' inclusive and collaborative environment which was apparent the first time I set foot on campus. I also believe that the Tufts' coaching staff has developed a culture of success, and I am excited to be a part of that"
