Mike MacDonald is the co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach in his third season on the staff. In this role last year he coached Phil Lutz, who earned American Football Coaches Association, Associated Press and D3football All-American honors. A 2013 graduate of Hamilton College, he had previous coaching stints at Middlebury College (2016-21) and Dickinson College (2015-16). He helped coach the 2019 Middlebury team that won the NESCAC title. A linebacker at Hamilton, he was a two-time All-NESCAC selection who ranked third in the NESCAC with 82 tackles as a senior. He finished his Hamilton career with 301 tackles, one of just two players to post 300 or more for the Continentals.
