All NESCAC Second Team (2021)


2022 (Graduate Student): Appeared in all nine games for the Jumbos . . .  Second in tackles for the Jumbos defense with 45 . . .  Made six tackles for losses for a total of 36 yards . . .  Was third on the team with two sacks and a loss of 22 yards . . .  Had a season high 12 yard sack against Bates on September 24 . . .  Had a season high 10 tackles against Wesleyan on October 15, including two tackles for losses . . .  Made nine tackles against Williams on October 1 . . .  Was one of the most important pieces on the Jumbos defense down the stretch of the season.

2021 (Senior): Earned second team All-Conference accolades at linebacker...Played a lead role in Tufts finishing as a top 40 team nationally on third down defensively (43.1 percent)...Was seventh in NESCAC with 59 tackles (38 solo)...Led the Jumbos with four sacks for 30 yards in losses and 12 tackles for losses totaling 46 yards...Had a pair of sacks and four TFL's among nine tackles at Hamilton...Made 12 tackles in a season-ending victory at Middlebury.

2020 (Junior): Season canceled due to COVID-19.

2019 (Sophomore): Made special teams contributions with two tackles on kickoff coverage.

2018 (Freshman): Played in two of nine games at linebacker for the 7-2 Jumbos… made first collegiate tackle in win over Bates… broke out against Colby in just his second career game played earning three tackles and a sack on the way to a 48-0 win.

Before Tufts: Was on the football team at Xaverian Brothers High School...named a Catholic Conference All-Star...was named a Boston Herald All-State Second Team selection...winner of the Xaverian Brothers Coaches Award for football...earned first and second honors for quarterly high school GPA. 

Personal: Son of Jennifer and Patrick...has one sibling, Morgan (25)....grandfather, Frank Gibson, played football at Kansas and was drafted by the Cardinals.
