Lydon comes to Medford after serving as an assistant coach at Suffolk University since 2021, where he helped the Rams to back-to-back 16 win seasons during the squads first two years in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. Prior to Suffolk, Lydon was an assistant coach at Wheaton College for the 2020-21 year after serving as a volunteer assistant at Division I Northeastern University in 2019-20. As part of the Huskies' staff, he helped with video analysis and on-court metrics. 

The former University of Massachusetts player earned a full scholarship with the Minutemen after walking on to the Division I program. He graduated with Scholar-Athlete honors from the UMass Isenberg School of Business in the Mark H. McCormack Sports Management program.
