PRIOR TO TUFTS: Was a two-sport star for the Pointers of Point Loma HS, where she played volleyball and basketball...was a captain for hoops as a junior and senior...named team MVP in basketball as a senior...First Team All-League as a junior and senior on the volleyball court...also earned Second Team honors in basketball...helped her squad to a CIF title as a first-year...graduated from PLHS with honors...competed for COAST Volleyball club. 

PERSONAL: Parents Nathan and Sara Heckman...biology major...chose Tufts "because it was the perfect balance of rigorous academics and competitive athletics. Tufts offers amazing academic and internship opportunities that will be a great way to prepare for the future and the coaching staff and players are all so dedicated to the game that I knew it would be a great team culture and atmosphere."
