Biography

2017 (Junior): Bowers was in goal for every minute in her junior season..led the team to a 10-6-3 overall record and a NESCAC record of 6-2-2as the Jumbos finished the year with 10-6-3 record and played in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007...the Jumbos 6-2-2 NESCAC record was the best since 2010 and they advanced to the conference championship game for the first time since 2005 where they fell to eventual national champion Williams, 2-1, in overtime...made 82 saves with only 19 goals against with a save percentage of .812...her 82 saves were the most in the NESCAC...turned in a career high seven shuts outs..was selected for All-NESCAC first team..selected to the United Soccer Coaches Association All-New England First Team..received United Soccer Coaches Association All-American honors  and wasone of six New England Players, and only New England Goalkeeper selected...was named a United State Soccer Coaches Association Scholar All-Ameircan..also showed up in the scoring column by assisting on Tufts' goal in their 1-0 win over Trinity in the conference quarterfinals with a field-long drop kick.

2016 (Sophomore): Was the starting goalkeeper for the Jumbos in her sophomore season playing the most minutes in goal...finished the season with a 0.98 goals against average, an .784 save percentage and five shutouts throughout the season...collected a total of 58 saves while earning a 6-6-3 record...she was named the NESCAC Player of the Week on September 26th after recording a 0-0 shutout tie against Wesleyan and a 1-1 tie against No.9 Brandeis, giving her a 0.82 goals against average for the week...saved a season-high ten shots in the tie game against Brandeis...had three saves in both games against Amherst and Hamilton...recorded one save in the 4-0 win against Endicott...saved two shots in the two last games of the season against Williams and Bowdoin to eearn the No.5 seed in the NESCAC Tournament.

2015 (Freshman): Started all 16 games in net for the Jumbos during her rookie campaign, and played every minute in goal for the Jumbos during the 2015 season…finished the season with a 1.08 goals against average, an .824 save percentage and six shutouts in her first season wearing Brown and Blue…her 84 saves was fourth best in the conference, and she was fifth in save percentage and goals against average...she was named the NESCAC Player of the Week on October 5th after helping the Jumbos go 2-1 including a win over Amherst and having a 0.33 goals against average that week and a .929 save percentage in those three games…made four saves in a 3-1 win over Colby for her first collegiate win…notched her first collegiate shutout with nine saves in a 1-0 win over Connecticut College…made one save in a 2-0 win over MIT…saved seven in a 1-0 upset of Amherst…helped the Jumbos top Bates 1-0 with eight saves…made five saves in a 1-0 win over UMass-Boston…tallied a season-high and career-high ten saves in a 3-2 loss to Bowdoin.

Before Tufts: Played soccer at Needham High School…was a three-year member of the varsity soccer team…was voted Rookie of the Year….won the Sportsmanship Award…was a captain her senior year…was a member of the National Honor Society…was on the honor roll all four years….won the University of Rochester Award.

Personal: Daughter of Lynn and Chris…has one sibling, Taylor (23).
