the host Bobcats their first NESCAC conference defeat. The win was
the second shutout of the day for Coach Kate Bayard's Jumbos,
following an earlier 9-0 victory at Colby. The Jumbos raised their
record to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in NESCAC play, while the Bobcats
dropped to 6-2 overall, 1-1 in the NESCAC.
Tufts sailed through doubles, losing a total of just four games
in the three matches. The first year tandem of Lindsay Katz

Likewise, singles play was a breeze for Tufts. Junior
tri-captain Julia Browne (Old Brookville, NY) was
perfect in the #1 match, winning by a pair of 6-0 scores. Katz and
first year Lauren Hollender (Newton, MA) both gave
up just one game in the third and sixth matches, respectively.
