volleyball team to earn a three-set victory against Gordon College
in the Jumbos' 2010 home opener at Cousens Gym on Tuesday night.

In the first set, a strong serving run by junior Cara

middle of the match, and senior co-captain Caitlin
Updike (Manhattan Beach, CA) finished the set with three
aces.
The Jumbos got out to a 15-2 lead in the second set. They were
up 23-7 before Gordon scored three points while junior Andrea Amado
(Glastonbury, CT) was at the service line late in the match to get
the Fighting Scots into double-digit points. Updike served two more
aces early in the third set to help Tufts out to a 7-2 advantage.
Tufts pushed its lead to 15-5 with first-year Virginia
Clay (Santa Clara, CA) serving. The margin reached 21-9 and
