Junior Janice Lam lost just one game in the #6 match

MEDFORD - The 12th-ranked Tufts women's tennis team made quick work of NESCAC foe Connecticut College, 9-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Voute Courts.
The Jumbos lost just two games in doubles while establishing a 3-0 lead. Tufts' #3 pair of sophomore Samantha Gann (Massapequa, NY) and junior Janice Lam (San Franciso, CA) did not lose a game in their match. Both the #1 combo of first-year Sophie Schonfeld (Washington, DC) with sophomore Eliza Flynn (Hamilton, MA), and the #2 duo of sophomore Shelci Bowman (Dallas, TX) and junior captain Lindsay Katz (Baltimore, MD) were 8-1 winners.
Katz and Lam won easily at opposite ends of the singles order. Katz was a 6-0, 6-1 winner in first singles, while Lam took the sixth match 6-1, 6-0. Bowman lost just two games with a pair of 6-1 victories in the second match. Flynn won the #3 compeition 6-2, 6-1.
The Jumbos improved to 6-4 overall and 2-0 in NESCAC, while the Camels dropped to 4-10 and 0-3.
Tufts hosts second-ranked Emory on Sunday at Voute Courts beginning at 10:30 am.
