BOSTON – With decisive wins in the first three positions, the Tufts Women's Squash team beat Brandeis, 7-2, to tally their first win of the 2013-14 season on Saturday.
First-year Lynn Cheng (Singapore) started off the match on the right note, winning in the number one position in three games. Similarly, rookie Anna Bezahler (Philadelphia, PA) quickly beat her Brandeis counterpart in three games in the second position and sophomore Tammara Gary (Exeter, NH) did the same in the number three position.
The Judges picked up their two wins in the number four and six positions. Junior Eleanor Monroe (new Canaan, CT) helped the Jumbos in the number five flight, beating Milekil of Brandeis three games to one. The Jumbos won by default in the seven through nine positions.
The Tufts women will be back in action on Sunday as they take on Williams at 12:00 pm.
