A #1 doubles victory by senior Lauren Hollender (Newton, MA) and junior Shelci Bowman (Dallas, TX), 8-6, had Tufts trailing 2-1 entering singles. Of the two Middlebury doubles wins, Lauren Amos and Margot Marchese had an 8-3 win in the third match.
Middlebury wound up winning five of the six singles matches. Panther Lok Sze Leung, the #1 ranked player in the Northeast, defeated 11th-ranked Jumbo Lindsay Katz (Baltimore, MD) in a second-set tie-breaker at #1 7-6 (2).
