MALDEN - Tufts University Men's Varsity and 2nd Varsity completed a great weekend of racing Sunday with two wins each against Hamilton and Wentworth.
The Varsity Eight followed up on its victory over Tulane on Saturday, with an early morning one-length victory over Hamilton and a second outstanding six-length win over cross-river rival Wentworth.
The Jumbo 2nd Varsity enjoyed its best opening weekend in recent memory with a solid six-length win over Hamilton, and a multi-length victory over Wentworth.
Both Crews led their respective races early, through the middle and at the end, enjoying the most consistent weekend of performances since 1995.
The Lady Jumbos had solid wins in the Varsity and 2nd Varsity against Mount Holyoke, and 3rd Varsity against Hamilton, before falling to nationally ranked Trinity in all three divisions in their second races.
The season continues next weekend on Saturday, April 12 when nationally ranked Wellesley, Bates and Wesleyan venture to the Malden on the Women's side, and Wesleyan, UNH and Bates visit the Jumbo Men. Racing begins at 9:20 am.
