Men's Swimming and Diving Third After First Day of MIT Invitational

Idelson was the top Jumbo diver on the day.

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Tufts University men's swimming and diving team finished the first day of the three-day MIT Invitational in third place out of six teams with a 134 overall team score.

The team competed in three event finals in the evening. The first of which was 800 freestyle relay. A Tufts team of Zach Wallace, Lomax Turner, Kingsley Bowen, and James McElduff came in fourth with a 6:52.62.

The other swimming event was the 1650 freestyle. Four Jumbos competed in the race with Brandon Jinn finishing first for Tufts and third overall.

The final event of the night was the three-meter dive. Aaron Idelson was the top Jumbo and fourth overall with a score of 262.3. Connor Brisson from NYU claimed first.

The competition continues Saturday with preliminary rounds starting at 10 a.m.
