ENFIELD, N.H. – The Tufts University women's sailing team had a 10th place finish at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl hosted by Dartmouth College over the weekend.
A lack of wind limited the regatta to six races in each of the two divisions. Tufts had a 46 score in A division and 55 in B's for a 101 total. They were three behind ninth-place University of Rhode Island (98).
Host Dartmouth won the regatta, scoring 25 in A races and 22 in B's for a 47 final total. Yale was just five points behind in second (52).
The Tufts A team was sixth in their division with junior Talia Toland as skipper and sophomore Ann Sheridan as crew. A fifth-place finish in the fifth start was their best race. The Jumbos' 46 score in A's tied with Boston College, but Tufts lost a tie-breaker (number of high-place finishes).
For B's the Jumbos were 11th with freshman Annika Fedde as skipper and junior Juliana Testa as crew. The Jumbos were fourth in their final race.
