BRUNSWICK, ME - The Tufts University women's tennis team won nine times in singles and doubles matches at the Bowdoin Invitational on Sunday.
The doubles team of
Rachel Cranley with Maddie Suk won twice. They had an 8-3 victory over Jamilah Karah and Cara Hung of Bowdoin, and then an 8-3 win against Middlebury's Claudia Miller and Brinlea La Barge. Jumbos
Lucy Mitchell with
Steffy Jullian scored an 8-5 doubles victory against Katelyn Corpuz and Katherine Almquist of Skidmore. Mitchell also joined with teammate
Stephanie Woodbury to defeat Nathalie van der Reis and Gena Huang from Middlebury 8-7 (6). The Jumbos won four doubles matches over Middlebury in all on Sunday.
Michelle Shub with
Rebecca Lim won 8-7 (4) against Sahana Raman and Lulu Wu of the Panthers, and Jumbos
Nikki Kintiroglou and
Sophie Wax topped Charlotte McCann and Anna Lardner 8-4.
In Sunday singles the Jumbos had three wins all against Skidmore players. Cranley took a 6-2, 6-1 match over Maya Lal, Mitchell had a 6-2, 7-5 victory against Almquist and Kintiroglou earned a 6-3, 4-6, 10-8 win against Konika Dhull.
