CAMBRIDGE, MA (September 17, 2023) -- The Tufts University women's tennis squad finished play at the 2023 MIT Invitational on Sunday, as
Zoe Kava and
Rebecca Lim finished their trips through the doubles bracket on a gorgeous day in Cambridge.
Lim and Kava came into the day having earned a spot in the doubles' final with an 8-5 win Saturday afternoon over a pairing from Amherst College. On Sunday, the Tufts' pairing battled Jay Lu and Kimberly Liao from host MIT in a spirited match. In the end though the Engineer pairing outlasted Kava and Lim 8-4, as the Jumbos senior duo took runner-up accolades.
Kava was also named as a sportsmanship honoree for the weekend as well.
The Jumbos will travel to Middletown, Conn. this weekend for the New England Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships, hosted by Wesleyan University September 22-24
