BRUNSWICK, ME (January 10, 2024) -- The No. 12 Tufts University women's squash team finished its difficult Maine trip Wednesday afternoon with another victory, knocking off No. 18 Bowdoin College 8-1 for its second win in as many days in action from the Lubin Family Squash Center on the campus of Bowdoin.
The Jumbos (6-2) have now won four straight matches going into another big match on Thursday afternoon, as Tufts welcomes No. 5 Stanford University to town for another difficult test. The four-match win streak is the longest since posting seven straight a year ago.
On Wednesday, Tufts earned victories from the bottom eight positions, starting first with a four-game victory by first-year
Maria Arsenieva at the No. 2 spot. Arsenieva topped Amanda Crowley 12-10, 9-11, 11-8, 11-3, earning her first win at Tufts at the second position while moving to 5-2 on the year. Senior
Caroline Chin was also a winner at No. 3, as she finished off Skyler Spaulding in three games with scores of 11-3, 11-4 and 11-3. The win was Chin's fifth of the year.

Aleezah Burhan evened her season record at 4-4 with a victory at the No. 4 spot, knocking off Darcy Weber 12-10, 11-7 and 11-3. Fellow junior
Nieve Monderer picked up her first win at the fifth position in 2023-24, upping her seasonal record to 5-2 with a four-game win over Eshika Tangri.
At No. 6, senior
Sanjana Vissapragada chalked up her fourth consecutive win with an 11-5, 11-3, 11-9 win over Clare Collins, while senior captain
Ellyn Xu also won her fourth straight to move to 6-2 on the year with a 11-1, 11-8, 11-4 win at the No. 7 spot.
Senior
Kate Chang kept her record spotless on the season with an 11-5, 11-6, 11-3 win at No. 8, and sophomore
Mafi Pinot also posted her second win of the year in the lineup with a dominant 11-0, 11-3, 11-5 victory over Frances Hornbostel.
Tufts has started the campaign very well in 2023-24, winning 70.8 percent of their matches individually including a dominant 7-1 mark at the No. 9 position.
Following Thursday's home match with the No. 5 Cardinal, Tufts will also host No. 23 Franklin & Marshall College Saturday at noon before entertaining No. 11 Dartmouth College Sunday at 3 p.m. inside the Tufts Squash Center.
