WILLIAMSTOWN, MA (January 26, 2025) -- The Tufts University women's squash team had its four-match win streak snapped on Sunday afternoon, falling in heartbreaking fashion 5-4 to Williams College in play from Simon Squash Center.
The Jumbos picked up wins at No. 1, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 9 on Sunday, and had a chance to clinch the match twice in the last wave but couldn't secure the wins.
Junior
Vharsha Dinesh kept her strong play of late going with a four-game victory over Melanie Wang, earning an 11-6, 10-12, 11-5, 11-4 victory at the top position. Sophomore
Maria Arsenieva also made quick work of Christina Yen at No. 3, winning a 23-minute match with scores of 11-4, 11-7 and 11-7.
Senior
Riddhi Joshi was a winner for the Jumbos at No. 4, rolling to a 13-11, 11-6 and 11-9 win over Rachel Miller. Tufts last win of the day came at No. 9, as first-year
Indira Moshi was a four-game winner with scores of 11-5, 9-11, 11-6 and 11-5.
Tufts will battle Bates College Friday, January 31 at 5 p.m. in action from the Tufts Squash Center.
