MEDFORD, MA (October 6, 2025) - Following the first victory of his collegiate cross country career, Tufts University's
Jonah Reisner was named the NESCAC Men's Runner of the Week today.
Reisner won the Keene State Invitational on Saturday, topping a field of 277 competitors with a 24:12.20 time. The mark improved his 8K career best by over 30 seconds and is the fastest time in the NESCAC this season. He was more than 14 seconds ahead of the runner-up finisher - teammate
Cullen McCaleb (24:26.40).
The individual victory helped the Jumbos finish second out of 25 teams at the meet, just one point behind team champion Williams College.
Reisner is Tuffs' first NESCAC Runner of the Week honoree since Ivan Appleton was recognized on October 17, 2023.
Now a junior, at the NESCAC Track & Field Championships last spring Reisner was second in the 5,000-meter run. He was 23rd individually at last year's cross country conference championship.
