Academic All-NESCAC Honors Achieved By 123 Fall Jumbos

MEDFORD, MA (December 3, 2025) - The 2025 fall sports teams at Tufts University placed 123 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Academic Team released today. 

Student-athletes from the sports of men's cross country, women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball are eligible.

A total of 1,158 student-athletes have been named to the 2025 NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing, and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale at the end of the 2023-24 academic year. Transfers must have completed one year of study at an institution.

Five student-athletes in NESCAC garnered All-Academic Team, All-Sportsmanship Team, and All-Conference Team honors in the 2025 fall season, including Cullen McCaleb from Tufts Men's Cross Country. The 2025 Fall All-Academic Team also featured several Players of the Year or Most Outstanding Performer honorees from this fall including Tufts' Elsi Aires, who was NESCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year, and her teammate Lena Sugrue, who was the Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year.
