MEDFORD, MA (March 19, 2025) - Five members of the Tufts University women's fencing team have earned United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) All-Region Awards based on their finishes at the 2025 NCAA Northeast Regional which Tufts hosted on March 9.

Lea Levi in the foil weapon and sophomore
Nitika Subramanian in the sabre division both received honorable mention accolades overall and were named to the Division III All-Region team. First-year
Anahat Bawa (foil), senior
Shannon Chen (foil) and junior
Karen Bei (epee) achieved DIII All-Region recognition.
Subramanian earned her overall honorable mention award by finishing 14th in Regional sabre action. She was second among DIII competitors. Levi's honorable mention recognition comes from a 16th-place effort overall in foil at the Regoinal. She was third in Division III. Bawa (sabre) and Chen (foil) were both fourth among Division III fencers at the Regional to get their DIII honors. They were 19th and 21st overall, respectively. Bei received the eighth and final DIII All-Region award following a 30th-place finish overall.
The USFCA All-Region Award is the third for Bei, who was on the second team overall and received DIII honors in each of the previous two seasons. Chen earns All-Region for the second straight year after securing a DIII honor in 2024. This is the first All-Region award for Bawa, Levi and Subramanian.
