LIVE RESULTS
The Jumbos have a lot of experienced fencers competing at the Regional this year. Chen and Levi qualified for the fourth straight year. Bei (2023, 2024), Katz (2022, 2023) and Tomasello (2022, 2023) will all be at the Regional for the third time. Book and Subramanian are Regional competitors for the second straight season, while Girardi returns to the meet for the second time after qualifying in 2023. Bawa, Guan, Jean and Kapoor will be making their first Regional appearance.
For a student-athlete to compete at their respective regional, they must compete in a minimum of 21 bouts, as well as achieve at least a 25-percent win-loss percentage in scheduled bouts.
For the Northeast Regional at Tufts, the NCAA Women's Fencing Committee has allocated a total of 23 berths into the NCAA Championships - eight epee, seven foil and eight sabre. Additionally, two at-large selections will be made nationally in each weapon. The field for the national championships will be officially announced on Tuesday, March 11.
The 2025 national championships will be held March 20-23 at Penn State University.
As a first-year in 2023, Bei earned a spot in the National Collegiate Fencing Championships field. She was the first individual from Tufts Fencing to receive a national berth since 2009, which she earned by placing sixth at the Regional. She was 11th in the Regional epee competition in 2024, narrowly missing a spot in the national competition.
