Women's Sailing 9th at NEISA Fleet Race After Sunday Cancelled Due to Wind

BRANFORD, CT (April 20, 2025) - Due to unsafe conditions because of high winds, racing at the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA) Women's Fleet Race Championship was cancelled on Sunday.

Saturday's action was limited as well, with only three races completed in A and B divisions. Those results will stand as final though, and with that Tufts finishes ninth overall with scores of 33 in A division and 17 in B division for a 50 total.

Yale University wins the truncated NEISA Women's Team Race Championship, earning the Reed Trophy as a result. Yale also receives the region's automatic berth into the Intercollegiate Sailing Association National Fleet Race Championship in late May.

The non-winners this weekend, including Tufts, are eligible for at-large berths into the national championship which will be announced on April 29.
