MEDFORD, MA (May 23, 2025) -- The Tufts University men's lacrosse looks to complete an undefeated season for the first time in program history tonight, taking on No. 16 Dickinson College in the 2025 NCAA Division III Championship Game. The Jumbos are making their eighth appearance in the national title game, while Tufts is in search of its fifth national title. It would also be the second time in history the Jumbos have gone back-to-back, as the Jumbos also earned title in 2014 and 2015.

Against Dickinson All-Time
This will be the first all-time meeting between the two teams. Tufts has played three Centennial Conference teams all-time, going 3-1 in those for games. Tufts topped Swarthmore College and Haverford College in their only meetings, while going 1-1 against Gettysburg including recently earning a 17-8 win over the Bullets back on May 17.

In Our Back Yard
The Jumbos have played in seven national title games before today, but Sunday evening's contest in Gillette Stadium will be the first for the Jumbos. Tufts has played three games in Baltimore at M&T Bank Stadium with the other four at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Tufts will be wearing blue tops today with white shorts along with its white Jumbo helmets with camo helmet stickers.

Head coach Casey D'Annolfo is making his third appearance in the NCAA Championship game as a coach, each in the last three seasons.
Experience Is Key
The Jumbos bring back all 10 starters from last year's national title winning team, and of the 27 players that played in the 18-14 win over RIT at Lincoln Financial Field, 25 are this year's team.
Tested Tufts
The Jumbos have played 13 games against ranked opposition this season, while two more games have been against teams receiving votes in that week's or the more recent USILA Top 20 poll.
Bye Bello
The Jumbos have not been on the road since April 23, as Tufts has played every postseason game on Bello Field on the campus of Tufts. That's not to say that the Jumbos mind being off campus, as Tufts played eight of its first nine games of the year on the road.
We're Going Streaking
The Jumbos are currently riding a 27-game win streak dating back to last year, which is the longest in all of NCAA lacrosse. It is also a program-record win streak. The 27-game win streak is the sixth-longest in NCAA Division III history, and bested the previous Tufts' best of 22 back during the 2023 season. Tufts also has a 21-game road win streak going, best in Division III.
Had To Have Us Back
The Jumbos have been to every NCAA Tournament since 2007 except for one, missing the tournament in 2008. But since 2009, the Jumbos have been in the field every season.

- The Jumbos are going for win No. 23 in a season this evening, which would break the program record of 22 from back in 2023. 23 is also the NCAA record, as Salisbury did it in 2007, 2012 and 2023.
- Tufts has posted 23 straight winning seasons, which ranks 10th all-time.
- Last year's attendance of 15,156 was the fifth-largest crowd to watch a Jumbos' lacrosse game. Tufts and Salisbury drew 22,219 back on May 25, 2014 in Baltimore.
- Tufts comes into this weekend with the second-highest win percentage of any Division III school all-time, winning 79.2 percent of their games 385-101.
- The Jumbos recently had a nation-best 10 All-Americans listed on the USA Lacrosse Magazine release, highlighted by four first-teamers in Jack Regnery, Joey Waldbaum, Charlie Tagliaferri and Ben Frisoli.
- Junior Jack Regnery was named as the NESCAC Player of the Year this season, as he became the seventh Jumbo to accomplish that honor.
- The Jumbos come into Saturday's game ranked No. 5 in the nation in scoring offense, pouring in 17.86 goals per game. That is tops in the NESCAC this season.
- Tufts ranks first in the NESCAC this season in scoring defense, allowing just 9.18 goals per contest. Its scoring margin of 8.68 goals per game is seventh nationally.
- The Jumbos are tough around loose balls, as they have picked up 43.77 ground balls per game, seventh-best in NCAA Division III this year and best among NESCAC teams. Their 963 grounders is behind just Salisbury (966) this year.
- Part of the Jumbos' success this year is its ability to transition, ranking sixth in the country in clearing percentage at 90.6. Only national leader Bowdoin College (93.0) is better in the NESCAC.
- Regnery is currently sixth in the nation in goals per game with 3.95 a contest. That is second in the NESCAC. His career mark of 4.08 points per game is 40th among active Division III players. His 181 career goals are also 25th among active D-III players, and 29th among all NCAA lax players.
- Graduate student goalkeeper Conner Garzone has started 87 games in his career, going 80-7. Garzone ranks sixth among active NCAA keepers with 907 saves, and five in minutes played with nearly 4400 between the pipes for Tufts. His 90 total games played ranks No. 6 of any NCAA player right now.
- Senior face-off Parker Merril comes into Sunday's final ranked 20th among active NCAA face-off men with 440 career ground balls.
- The Jumbos have poured in 20 or more goals in eight games this year, and have outscored opponents 393-202 this year.
- Tufts has eight players with 10 or more goals this season, including five with 30 or more tallies on the season.
- Senior Max Ettinghausen has scored in every game over the last two seasons, a streak that has reached 43 games headed into Sunday's title game against Dickinson.
- The Jumbos have won the ground ball battle in 21 of 22 games this season, with the long exception coming in an overtime 17-16 win at No. 3 CNU on March 20.
- Tufts has posted nine quarters this season with eight or more goals, including a pair of 10-goal quarters. The Jumbos are coming off a game in the NCAA Semifinals that saw the Jumbos score 10 in the second quarter and eight in the fourth.
- According to NCAA.com, Tufts faced the ninth-hardest schedule in Division III this season, with opposition winning 67.8 percent of their games. Only Wesleyan (69.6%) had a higher clip in the NESCAC.
- Head coach Casey D'Annolfo ranks No. 3 in Division III all-time in win percentage, having won 88.9 percent of his games. That is behind just Jim Berkman of Salisbury (90.4) and Jake Coon of RIT (90.4).
- 16 players will playing for a national title this Sunday in their home state of Massachusetts.
- Tufts University to Gillette Stadium is just 37.5 miles away, as compared to the 403.2 miles for Dickinson College. Travel times vary based on how Massachusetts drivers are feeling that day.
- New England Patriots majority owner Robert Kraft is the grandfather of current Tufts attack Joey Kraft, while Joey's father Daniel Kraft, A87, A25P and Wendy Kraft(Yarckin), J87, A25P are both Tufts alumni.
About The Red Devils (17-5)
The Red Devils of Dickinson College will play in their first ever NCAA title game on Sunday after an impressive run through the NCAA Tournament. Dickinson has won 10 in a row and advanced out of the opening weekend after back-to-back overtime wins over Denison University and No. 2 Salisbury University.
The Red Devils then followed that up with two-goal wins over RPI and No. 3 RIT in the national quarterfinals and semifinals. The defensive unit for Dickinson has been playing well, allowing less than 10 goals per game during the NCAA Tournament run while the 148 ground balls by the Red Devils are fourth-most of any team during the NCAA Tournament.
Ground balls have been a strength for Dickinson all season, as their 866 this season ranks ninth nationally and first in the Centennial Conference. The defensive unit also led the Centennial in caused turnovers per game with 10.32 a contest.
Individually, Dickinson earned a trio of USILA All-Americans announced on Thursday, as senior defender Evan Karetsos was a First Team honoree, while senior faceoff Ben Trucksess and sophomore middie Luke Whalen were Honorable Mentions.
Karetsos has been a force on defense after starting all 22 games so for the Red and White. The two-time All-Conference selection has collected 86 ground balls and caused 52 giveaways, in addition to adding four assists and three goals. So far in the Devils postseason run which includes two conference tournament games and four NCAA Tournament match-ups he has racked up 23 loose balls and forced 16 turnovers.
On the season, Trucksess has won 283 face-offs, including 49 during the NCAA Tournament which leads all participants. His 154 ground balls also paces the Red and White on the campaign.
Offensively, Landen Hyatt leads the team with 51 goals as the main finishing option, adding eight man-up goals. Ethan Gess is second in points with 52 as his balanced game of 23 goals and team-high 29 assists is big on attack.
Ramsey Huggins is second on the squad with 34 goals, and Whalen has also potted 32 scores to go with 10 assists. Defensively, Ethan Ferrant is second on the team in caused turnovers with 29, adding 46 grounders, while Jack Deady has 24 caused turnovers and 29 ground balls.
Goalkeeper Rocco Bognet has started all but two games for Dickinson, posting a 49.7 saves percentage overall to go with a 9.01 goals against average.
Head coach Dave Webster is in his 24th season at Dickinson College, going 269-117 during his helm in Carlisle. He also held positions at Franklin & Marshall and Marymount (Va.).
