MEDFORD, MA (August 11, 2025) - Tufts University announced the appointment of Holly Erbe as the new equipment manager for Jumbos Athletics.
"I am very excited to welcome Holly to Tufts. Her background, experience and time as a Division III student-athlete makes her a great fit in such an important role," said
Matthew McMasters, Associate Director of Athletics at Tufts. "I have no doubt that she will make a positive impact on our student-athletes and coaches as she supports all 30 of our sports. I look forward to working with her as she stewards our equipment operations to new heights."
"I'm proud to join the Tufts community as the equipment manager," said Erbe. "I've always loved being creative and having a role that's hands-on and active. It is a privilege to support such a strong athletic program. At Tufts, every student-athlete, coach, and staff member is striving for excellence and it is an honor to support them in that journey."
Erbe joins Tufts with a wealth of educational and practical experience with sports logistics, coordination and collaboration. At her previous role as Youth Coordinator for Project Commotion, Erbe created an empowering and welcoming curriculum for underserved students that sees her bring a breadth of communication skills and an ability to work well under pressure.
Prior to her time with Project Commotion, Erbe was the athletics administrator and equipment manager at the Dexter Southfield School where she oversaw the extracurricular and athletic logistics for over 1,000 students across 70+ athletic programs.
With her experience in managing a large athletic program and extensive history in coordinating student-athlete communication and fostering school-wide growth, Erbe will look to "support our student-athletes and coaches by making sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. I want them to feel confident anytime they put on the blue and brown. As a former student-athlete at Endicott College, I know how important that kind of support is, and I'm committed to creating that experience here at Tufts."
Erbe earned her Master of Science in Sport Leadership after completing her undergraduate program with a bachelor of science in exercise science at Endicott. The newly-annointed Jumbo spent all four years of undergrad with the Endicott women's hockey team, adding to her experience in the realm of athletic logistics. "When I first met the staff and toured the facilities, it immediately felt like home," said Erbe.
"I could tell this was a place where people care deeply about what they do and about each other," said Erbe. "I'm most excited to build those relationships - to connect with the Tufts community, work alongside an incredible team, and contribute to a winning environment."
