ENFIELD, NH (September 20, 2025) - Another strong day from the combination of first-year skipper
Maddie Janzen and senior crew
Lilly Ladd highlighted the first day at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl for the Tufts women's sailing team on Saturday.
Light wind allowed for just four races in A and B division, but Janzen and Ladd made the most of it. Their day featured two first-place finishes and a second as they totaled a 13 score that leads B division after one day.
The Jumbos are fifth overall with a 53 score. They are just two points out of third place.
In A's, senior skipper
Ella Hubbard and junior crew
Eloise Goedkoop combined for a score of 40. They were third in their third race of the day.
Yale University leads the regatta with a 43 score thus far.
First warning for day 2 of the Mrs. Hurst Bowl on Sunday is 10:10 AM.
