MEDFORD, MA (September 22, 2025) -- Senior midfielder
Caroline Kelly was named as this week's New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Week, the first weekly award for the Jumbos standout of her career.
Kelly helped Tufts remain undefeated, as the Jumbos went 3-0 last week. Kelly posted the game-winning goal on Tuesday in a 2-1 win over Gordon and added an assist on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over Hamilton College. On Sunday, the senior converted a penalty kick in a 4-0 win over Connecticut College. Kelly leads the team with 11 points and the NESCAC with seven assists.
The senior from Southborough, Massachusetts becomes the third Tufts conference player of the week since 2021, as
Nicola Sommers earned the honor twice over the last four seasons while
Elsi Aires was a winner back on September 11, 2023.
The Jumbos (6-0, 4-0 NESCAC) are out to their best start in program history, and will battle Wesleyan University Saturday, September 27 at noon on Bello Field in Medford, Massachusetts.
