ROME, GA (October 16, 2026) -- Senior
Garv Bahl moved into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup semifinals on Friday, winning a straight set quarterfinal match in action from Rome Tennis Center, hosted by Berry College.
Bahl, who is seeded No. 4 in the tournament, was battling Aidan Borosko of Denison University. Bahl outlasted Borosko in the opening set 7-5, and that took a second-set tiebreaker 7-6 (4) to advance to the semifinals. Bahl will take on Ajay Kartik of Emory University at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
In doubles' play,
Stavros Mastrogamvrakis and
Nico Tremblay battled hard but couldn't rally in a three-set loss to Emory's Mitchell Deames and Juno Pethe. The Tufts' duo fell 6-4 in the first set, but pushed back with a 7-6 (1) win the second set to forced a super-tiebreaker. In the 10-point tiebreak, Pethe and Deames outlasted the Jumbos' pair 10-7 to move on.
If Bahl wins Saturday, he will play in the ITA Cup title match Sunday against the winner of top-seeded Drew Goldman of Pomona-Pitzer Colleges and No. 3 seed Alex Feies of Carnegie Mellon University.
