ENFIELD, NH (October 4, 2026) – Tufts University women's sailing finished as the runner-up out of 18 teams at the Atlantic Coast Championship (ACC) Round 1A regatta hosted by Dartmouth College which concluded on Sunday.
As a result, Tufts qualified for the ACC Championship finals coming up October 17-18 in Maryland. This marks the fifth straight season that the Jumbos have advanced to the ACC finals.
This weekend, Tufts was in second place through Saturday's action and stayed there with more strong sailing today. They completed the weekend with scores of 113 in A division and 50 in B division for a 163 team score (14 races in each). The Jumbos were second behind only Stanford University (78-44-122).
Tufts' 50 score was second in B division. In six B races on Sunday Tufts had four top-five finishes including a second in the next-to-last race of the day. Sophomore

Fiona Barbeito placed eighth in the group. Their four races on Sunday were highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the second-to-last start.
This weekend's result continued an outstanding start to the women's sailing fall season. In four weeks they have also been first at the Regis Trophy, third at the Toni Deutsch Trophy and second at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl which was not completed.
