MEDFORD, MA (February 4, 2026) – Through the end of the 2025-26 regular-season recently, the Tufts University men's and women's swimming & diving teams have combined to earn 49 top national marks (top 30 individual, top 20 relay).

Adam Hoyt, the women's team has accumulated 25 top marks and the men have 24.
Three meets remain before berths into the 2025-26 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships are announced in which the Jumbos can improve their marks. The rankings listed below include some events that are not contested at the national championship meet.
For the women's team, senior
Madeleine Dunn is top 30 in five events including two in which she's top three nationally. Her 10:06.36 mark in the 1000 freestyle from the team's dual meet versus MIT on January 24 is the second-fastest DIII time in the country so far. She's also third nationally with a 4:53.66 mark in the 500 freestyle from the MIT Winter Invitational in December. Dunn's others rankings are sixth in the 1650 free (16:57.45), 13th in the 400 individual medley (4:26.01) and 23rd for the 200 backstroke (2:02.44).
Men's team junior
Rafae Shafi also has five top 30 national times individually. His 9:24.08 in the 1000 freestyle from the MIT Winter Invite ranks fourth in Division III. He is also sixth in the 1650 free (15:39.56), 12th in the 200 free (1:38.51), 12th in the 200 butterfly (1:49.09) and 29th in the 500 free (4:33.05).
Women's senior
Quinci Wheeler's three top-30 rankings include third in the nation for the 50 breaststroke (28.84) from the MIT Winter Invite. The other two are in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.26) and the 200 freestyle (1:51.38). First-year
Cloe Nader also has three strong marks in the distance freestyle events, ranking ninth in both the 1000 (10:20.24) and 1650 (17:08.26) as well as 22nd in the 500 (5:01.33).
Tufts' highest ranking on either side comes from women's senior
Katharine Skelly and junior
Sydney Stasz, who are both #1 nationally. Skelly has the nation's best time in the 50 butterfly at 25.08 seconds at the MIT Winter Invite, while Stasz's 57.40 (also at MIT Winter Invite) leads in the 100 individual medley. Junior
Angel Smyrniou's 25.10 in the 50 fly is second behind Skelly's time. Stasz is also 23rd for the 100 breaststroke with a 1:04.17 touch.
Junior
Jack Nussbaum is the other Jumbo who sits in the top 10 nationally for an NCAA event with a 200 breaststroke time of 2:00.54. Freshman
Isaac Shang's 22.17 in the 50 butterfly is eighth nationally, and a 51.59 by junior
Evan Wang is ninth in DIII. All three times were swam at the MIT Winter Invite.
Junior
Will Kaminski is top-30 in three men's events right now. He ranks 25th in the 50 free (20.38), 30th in the 100 free (45.04) and 16th in the 50 breaststroke (25.49). Junior distance freestyler
Dan Godino has two top national ranks - 23rd in the 1650 (15:58.41) and 24th in the 1000 (9:36.22). Freshman
Max Gerke also has a pair, coming in at 14th in the 50 butterfly (22.35) and 22nd in the 100 fly (48.74). Freshman
Seth Graber adds a 4:01.42 for the 400 individual medley that is 29th in DIII.
Women's junior
Elena Harrison has two high-ranking times, a 2:04.53 that is 18th in the 200 butterfly and a 26.50 that is 27th in the 50 backstroke. Senior
Madison Hagberg swam a 2:01.65 for the 200 backstroke that ranks 17th right now. First-year
Emma Shane earns a spot with a 29.80 in the 50 breaststroke (22nd).
All five of the women's relays are among the top 20. Senior
Isa Chambers, Wheeler, sophomore
Sweeney Su and Skelly are ninth for the 400 freestyle relay (3:25.90). Wheeler, Su, junior
Selin Tuncay and sophomore
Noa Chambers make up the 800 freestyle relay that ranks 10th with a 7:34.77 finish.
Isa Chambers, Wheeler, Stasz and Skelly swam 1:34.31 for the 200 free relay that stands 14th.
The women's 200 and 400 medley relays – which both lined up Harrison, Wheeler, Smyrniou and Skelly – rank 12th (1:42.92) and 14th (3:49.48), respectively.

Jan Springer have the nation's 17th-best 800 free relay time so far (6:49.03).
In the medley relays, Ogawa, Nussbaum, Gerke and senior
Armaan Sikka combined on a 3:19.48 time in the 400 that is 18th in DIII. The 200 team of Ogawa, Kaminski, Gerke and Shang is 20th on the national list with their 1:30.02 finish.
For diving, men's senior
Jay Wilkinson is top 10 off both boards. His 540.00 score in one-meter is sixth, while his 531.43 three-meter total is DIII's ninth-best mark. Junior
Elias Brandt is in the men's top 20 in each event as well, 13th in one-meter (512.10) and 20th for three-meter (479.24). Senior
Malia Leung has a #8 ranking for the women's one-meter event (466.80).
Both teams have the Boston Winter Open at Boston University coming up this weekend (Feb. 6-7) before their NESCAC Championships are held later this month.
