ANNAPOLIS, MD (March 8. 2026) - Day two of the Jen Harris Team Race saw a lot of fog and very little wind. The start of the regatta was postponed ashore right away.
At approximately 12:30 PM, enough wind filled for the Race Committee to head out and attempt to set a course. Between the breeze shifting direction and pulsing only occasionally to four knots, conditions did not become sailable until 2:20 PM. At that time, the postponement was lifted and sailors headed out to the race course. One start went off, but it was very quickly called back as the wind died before they reached mark one. Sailors waited on the water until almost 3:00 PMÂ when it was officially too late to start any racing.
Fortunately, 53 races had been completed on Saturday, satisfying the 80-percent requirement to constitute a complete regatta. Saturday's results stand, with Tufts taking fifth place out of the 12 teams in a strong effort.
