MEDFORD, MA (April 14, 2026) -- Tufts University senior men's lacrosse standout
Jack Regnery was selected 20th overall Tuesday evening in the 2026 Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) draft by the Boston Cannons.
The senior captain and reigning Division III Player of the Year was picked with the fourth pick of the third round of the annual player draft, as he was the lone Division III player selected Tuesday evening following a six-point output against No. 5 Babson College earlier in the afternoon.
Regnery becomes the third all-time Tufts draft pick in a US professional lacrosse league, as he joins John Uppgren and Conor Helfrich were each picked in the 2016 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) draft. Uppgren was picked in the sixth round by the Boston Cannons with the 49th overall pick, while the Denver Outlaws chose Helfrich in the eighth round with the 66th selection.
Regnery is the first Division III PLL draftee since Salisbury University's Cross Ferrara was picked in the fourth round of the 2023 PLL Draft by the Chrome (Denver Outlaws) and 28th overall pick. He's the highest Division III pick since Ryan Lee of RIT was picked 11th overall back in 2021's Player Entry Draft.
Regnery leads the Jumbos in points as a senior with 62 this season, adding a team-high four game-winning goals. The 2025 Lt. Col. Turnbull Outstanding Attackman of the Year and consensus First Team All-American as a junior, he currently ranks second all-time at Tufts in goals with 221.
His point total of 325 is also now second all-time after passing DJ Hessler on Tuesday, and he now trails only Uppgren on the all-time points list. Regnery is also one of only eight players with 100 or more assists in his career.
"So proud of Jack. He earned this and he is more than capable of excelling in the PLL," said head coach Casey D'Annolfo. "He's not only an incredible player but and incredible teammate and person. He'll be great in the Boston Cannons locker room and will help the win games this summer."
