MEDFORD, MA (April 7, 2026) - Four Tufts University team members have earned recognition on the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom.
The Jumbos receiving the honor are seniors

Nate Pfeffer along with juniors
Jack Nussbaum and
Jan Springer.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a significant contributor to the team with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution. Each school is limited to four nominations. Student-athletes must compete in 75 percent of competitions or finish top-eight at a conference meet or participate in at the NCAA Championship.
Brandt (applied environmental studies major), Nussbaum (quantitative economics), Pfeffer (computer science) and Springer (economics) were part of head coach
Adam Hoyt's Tufts team that placed second at the NESCAC Championship meet this year. Nussbaum and Springer competed at the NCAA Championships where the Jumbos finished in 25th place.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming and diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Select Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 29.
