Seven Jumbos Earn Spots on NEILA All-New England Men's Lacrosse Teams

MEDFORD, MA (May 20, 2026) – Seven members of the Tufts University men's lacrosse team that will play in the NCAA Championship Game Sunday are on the 2026 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-New England Teams announced today.

Senior attack Jack Regnery, junior midfielder Will Emsing, senior midfielder Garrett Kelly, freshman defenseman Jack Donovan and junior defenseman Logan Lee are on the first team. Jumbos named to the second team are senior attack Brooks Hauser and junior midfielder Jackson Redd.

Regnery receives his third straight All-New England first team award. He was recognized regionally in all four of his seasons, including a second-team spot as a freshman in 2023. Kelly is now a two-time All-New England first-teamer, to go with a third-team honor in 2024. Emsing receives his second All-New England award including a second-team award last spring. The honor is the first for the other Jumbos.

Head coach Casey D'Annolfo's team rolled past Wesleyan University 25-7 in the NCAA semifinals to earn their fourth straight appearance in the NCAA Championship Game. The Jumbos (21-1), who will play RIT on Sunday in the NCAA final, are after their third straight national championship victory. Tufts won the 2026 NESCAC title for the 14th time with an 18-14 victory against Bowdoin College.

Regnery's 117 points on 71 goals and 46 assists lead a Tufts team whose 18.45 goals per game are the most in the NCAA's Region 1. The 46 assists are a career high, and he has also collected 37 ground balls. Hauser reached 100 points for the first time this season, and matches Regnery with a team-high 71 goals to go with 29 assists. His 29 goals in NESCAC games were tied for the team lead.

In the midfield, Emsing has amassed 32 goals and 43 assists for 75 points in the Jumbos' 22 games. The 43 assists, and his 19 helpers in NESCAC games, are both second on the team. Kelly notched his third straight 40-goal season this year, currently with a career-best 45 goals to go with 13 assists for 58 points. His 11 man-up goals lead the Region. Redd has had a breakout season with 23 goals and 22 assists for 45 points. He has been one of the better Jumbos at putting shots on goal (.685).

The often-overlooked Tufts defense has allowed 9.60 goals per game, helping the Jumbos lead the Region in scoring margin (8.95). The defense also helps the Jumbos lead the Region in ground balls and rank sixth in caused turnovers. Donovan's 30 caused turnovers in his first season leads the team, to go with 27 ground balls. He's also scored a pair of goals. Lee has recorded 32 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers while contributing three assists to the offense.

Tufts' five first-team selections match Bowdoin for the most. The Jumbos' seven All-New England spots overall are second to Babson (8), whom Tufts beat 17-8 during the regular-season.
