MEDFORD, MA (May 6, 2026) -- The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) announced the 2026 Men's Tennis All-NESCAC teams Wednesday morning, and Tufts head coach
Karl Gregor and his assistants were named as the NESCAC Coaching Staff of the Year while six others were named to the First or Second Teams.
The Tufts staff was recognized for the second consecutive year and the third time overall after leading the Jumbos to their first NESCAC title in 36 years. Tufts went unbeaten in NESCAC play for the second straight season and stands at 22-2 heading into the NCAA Tournament.

Javier Gonzalez were each named as All-NESCAC First Team honorees in singles, while junior
Garv Bahl was a Second Team honoree in singles play for Tufts. In doubles, Tufts picked up a First Team and Second Team duo, as Ganchev and teammate
Sacha Maes were First Team while
Andrej Djokic and
Kaetan Mehta were selected to the All-NESCAC Second Team.
Ganchev was the lone singles and doubles honoree for the Jumbos, as the senior went a stellar 15-1 this spring including going an undefeated 7-0 in NESCAC singles' action. He comes into the NCAA Tournament a winner in 15 straight singles' matches. In doubles, Ganchev and Maes have formed one of the best doubles' tandems in the nation as the group is 15-7 this year while going 8-0 in NESCAC action this year at No. 1 doubles.
Gonzalez earns his second straight First Team honor and third overall after earning Second Team as a sophomore. Gonzalez has played No. 1 singles for Tufts all season, totaling an 8-5 record overall including a 6-0 conference mark during the regular season.
Bahl played No. 2 through No. 4 singles for the Jumbos throughout the year as he leads the Jumbos in total wins with 20 while winning his last 13 matches for the Jumbos. Bahl went unblemished in NESCAC play at 8-0, while tallying a 17-2 dual match mark.
Mehta and Djokic were stellar together for thje Jumbos, as the tandem went 9-1 this spring including going 8-1 in the No. 2 position. The pair was a strong 6-0 in NESCAC action as well.
Tufts will host an NCAA Regional this weekend in Medford, starting Friday afternoon on Voute Courts while the Jumbos first match will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. against the winner of Friday's match with Moravian University and Baruch College.
