Fiona Barbeito won the Regis Trophy hosted by Boston University on the Charles River Saturday.
Hubbard and Barbeito earned first place in B division with a 32 score, while Janzen and Goedkoop were second in A division at a 42 score. Their combined total of 74 topped a field of 17 teams, with MIT placing second (78), Connecticut College third (122) and Yale fourth (124).
Competing in 10 races in the one-day regatta on Saturday, Hubbard and Barbeito had seven B finishes of third or better including two victories late in the day. Janzen and Goedkoop won the final A race and were in the top five for nine of their 10 races today.
The first-place finish is the Tufts team's first at a fall regatta since the 2010-11 squad also won the Regis Trophy 16 years ago.
Tufts also had a second team at the Regis Trophy which placed eighth out of 17 with a 158 score. Junior skipper

Dory Russell finished 10th in B division with their 82 score.
Today's victory builds on the momentum that Tufts Women's Sailing earned last year, which included a fifth-place finish at the ICSA Team Race National Championship.
The Jumbos will be at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl hosted by Dartmouth next weekend.
