2017 (Junior): All-NESCAC 2nd team selection at cornerback...battled through an ankle injury junior season...finished 2017 with 36 tackles (30 solo), four tackles for losses, two interceptions, four pass break-ups and two blocked kicks...returned a blocked extra point for two points against Trinity...blocked a field goal at Wesleyan and an extra point against Middlebury...the two blocks were a national top 25 mark...six solo tackles at Wesleyan...had a 32-yard interception return for a touchdown at Colby, where he also had another pick and two pass break-ups...posted 3.5 tackles for losses in season-opening win over against Hamilton.
2016 (Sophomore): Took the field in all eight games for the Jumbos as the team finished with a 7-1 record and in second place in the NESCAC standings...was a D3football.com All-East Region Second Team selection...collected five interceptions in just eight games, ranking him ninth nationally in Division III with an average of 0.6 per game...collected 137 interception return yards which ranked eighth nationally...also added 28 tackles including 1.5 for losses and six pass break-ups during his sophomore campaign...was an All-NESCAC First Team selection...turned in three tackles to the Jumbos 17-14 season-opening win over Wesleyan under the lights...added four tackles, including one for loss, to the Jumbos 12-7 win against Bates...added four tackles and interception to the 41-21 win over Bowdoin...had four tackles and an interception against Trinity...in the 35-16 win over Williams he finished with four tackles and an interception...added four tackles and an interception to the Jumbos 27-10 win at Amherst...in the 44-12 win over Colby he had a tackle and an interception, which he returned 99 yards for a touchdown and also broke up two passes...finished out the seaosn with four tackles and four pass break ups in the 48-35 triumph over Middlebury.
2015 (Freshman): Played seven games this year for the Jumbos...finished the season with 31 total tackles and six interceptions...had seven tackles in a game twice, against Trinity and Middlebury...intercepted two passes in the Trinity game...also had four pass breakups this season.
Before Tufts: Played for Lawrence Academy…was an All-ISL selection at defensive back…was an All-New England honoree at defensive back…also played basketball…earned All-ISL honors in basketball.
Personal: Son of John and Patricia Preston…has a brother, Jack (23), and a sister, Catherine (24)…brother, Jack, plays basketball at Plymouth State.
