CAMBRIDGE -- The Brown University women's squash team, ranked
10th in the latest College Squash Association national poll, scored
a 9-0 victory against #25 Tufts in a match held at MIT on Tuesday
night.
The Jumbos were very competitive at the top of the order. Both
sophomores Alix Michael (Mercer Island, WA) and
Mercedes Barba (New York, NY) went to four games
in their losses at #2 and #3, respectively. Michael tied her match
at 1-1 with a 15-13 win in the second game. Barba was up 1-0 with
an 11-8 victory in the first game. Though she lost in three, junior
#1 Val Koo (Hong Kong, China) scored 25 points
during the match.
Tufts (3-13) will host Wellesley College in a match to be played
at the Belmont Hill School on Thursday evening.
